Bardwell School

Wainwrights’ Oxford Office were appointed by The Gallery Trust on this £1million school refurbishment and extension. The Gallery Trust are a multi school academy specialising in providing education and support to young people with special needs and disabilities.

The trust required the site to be both upgraded and expanded in order to accommodate additional pupils. Wainwrights were appointed as Project Managers, Principle Designers, architects and designers on the build of a new school hall and reconfiguration of existing facilities including the installation of specialist therapeutic equipment including a hydrotherapy pool. Design also focused on enabling access for those with disabilities such as visual impairment as well as the use of ramps and assistive technology.

Wainwrights were appointed as principal designer, project managers, architects and cost consultants on the 22 week scheme.
